Zumtobel Group are currently recruiting for a General Manager to spearhead our Benelux Business Unit and assume management responsibility for a team of circa 80 cross functional employees. Located in either Netherlands or Belgium your role reports into the VP West & Southern Europe and you will provide strong leadership, direction and management to the sales activities across the Benelux. This is an exciting time to be joining the Zumtobel Group as we look to strengthen our position as a global leader of lighting and lighting technology.
Your remit will include but not limited to:
- To exceed sales / profit targets and maximise sustainable profitable growth in the country/region
- Full P&L responsibility for the region; manage the financial resources allocated to the region and team
- Drive and coordinate the further implementation of the global ZG strategy in the region
- Positioning of our Lighting Brands in the market and increasing market share
- To positively support and communicate all Company decisions and processes and take ownership for implementation within the region
- To lead, develop, appraise and inspire the management team both individually and collectively
- To coordinate performance and talent development of direct and indirect reports ensuring a consistent approach throughout the region in alignment with the global people processes
- Maintain close relation and hands-on attitude with customers and team members in the region
- To take an active role in the management of major/key customers and major projects within the region
- Foster international exchange with different business functions and also at customer level; liaising with Global Marketing, Global Sales and other members of the Zumtobel Group
You should have relevant B2B sales leadership experience leading a direct sales force that provides full service offerings and steps into digitalization; ideally in a construction / building services environment. You will be inspiring as a leader with the ability to motivate and develop effective teams and a track record of sustainably growing businesses and delivering results. As a person you should have the following attributes:
- Ability to understand our business model and strong market, trade and organisational knowledge; strong negotiation skills, strong business acumen
- Master degree in business or technical science is required, ideally with focus on international Sales/Marketing
- Fluent in Dutch; Solid written and spoken English skills with advanced presentation skills; French skills would be an asset.
- Ability to analyze the market in the region and identify clear initiatives to take advantage of major growth opportunities
